Educate Yourself: Getting Noticed! This is probably the most popular subject; "How do I get noticed?". Well it's as simple as 1, 2, 3!CommentUpload artBe activeCommentUpload artBe activeMore info can be found in this FAQ::faq56:"There are various ways to get noticed, but the main one is comment comment comment. Post replies and threads in the forums. Comment on peoples artwork and user pages, use the chat rooms. Give out good and constructive comments, to stand out - many people will like to return the favour. ZirTuan has written an elaborate journal entry about how to give good comments here. You could also join one of the many clubs which adopt new people and help them to get exposed. Also, try to remember that deviantART is a community, not a commen
Educate Yourself: Passwords!Remember, when making a password, be aware that the number of characters doesn't make a strong password, it's the characters themselves. For example, http://howsecureismypassword.net shows that my older password would take someone 37 years to crack it, while my current password, being about 4 characters longer, is strong enough for someone to take 325 million years to crack it.Something like "Pa55W3rD1234" would be more secure then "password1234".Here is something to think about when creating a strong password:Don't use just a name or set of numbers!Try and combine letters and numbers if you want to, just remember what it is afterwards.Simple yet complex!Simple to you, complex to them. Make sure it's something only you will know. When in doubt, use a quote!Using parts of uncommon quotes or unknown lines can make a good password. For example: "Without deviation in the norm, progress would not be possible" would make "wditn-pwnbp" making a secure password.<b>
Educate Yourself: Change! So a lot of people are getting mad at the staff for changing the deviantART logo, and to be honest, they need to shut up about it.It's called change, and no matter how hard you try to harass the staff about it they won't revert back. Here is the article explaining everything:Boldly Facing The FutureHowever, there are some misconceptions about this change, so let me clear things up.The logo is art theft! It seems that there is a website called http://platzkart.ru/ that has a similar logo, and people believe that they ripped it off.I don't see how that's possible since they aren't exact, and I doubt the deviantART staff knew about that website when this whole thing started. Also, it would be called copyright infringement, not art theft. The staff are artists, why did they make such an awful logo? It's a common misconception that every person who joins deviantART is automatically an artist.
